Made from the finest UK-sourced leather & papers, this design has been crafted based on the specifications used by the artist Robert E. Wells. Wells is a Yorkshire-born artist, known for his cityscape paintings as well as rural landscapes and figurative works. A member of the New English Art Club (NEAC) and the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA), he regularly exhibits his work in solo shows, mainly in the UK. Robert uses sketchbooks and journals as part of his creative process, and has personally endorsed a range of leather accessories made to the precise specifications of his own equipment. Technical description
The product is made from responsibly sourced hazelnut leather, which has a thickness of 1.8 – 2.0 mm. Both the sketchbook and the one piece strap have been crafted from this material. The item has been hand stitched using waxed cotton thread. There are 30 pages (60 sides). The dimensions of the paper for this sketchbook are: 14.7cm (height) X 21cm (length). This paper is lightfast, acid-free, 300 gsm hotpressed “not” watercolour paper, manufactured in one of the last surviving paper mills in the UK. Please note the paper has a deckled finish (rough edges). The dimensions of this book are: 15.5cm (height) X 22cm (length) X 3.5cm (width), which is a landscape format. The weight of the sketchbook is 395 grams. All leather products are stamped with company logos. Whilst every attempt has been made to be as accurate as possible, there may be slight variations in size and weight due to the individuality of each product. Any slight blemishes are attributed to the fact the product is organic, and is not classified as a fault.
